Chardonnay vines planted in the 1960s in Fontenay, alongside Pinot Noir and Trousseau, rooted in blue marl, limestone scree, and streaks of dolomite. No fining or filtration, with minimal sulfur at bottling, and aged nearly a year on its lees in Meursault barrels.
The 2023 vintage shows bright pear, crisp apple, and citrus, layered with smoky flinty minerality and a touch of reduction on the nose. Subtle tropical notes emerge as it opens, with a structure and finesse that promise excellent aging potential.
