The 2019 L d’Ange is from a clay‑limestone vineyard at 200 m altitude with 50‑year‑old vines grown on a very thin layer of earth above bedrock, making cultivation extremely demanding. With yields around 40 hl/ha, the grapes were hand‑picked and vinified with minimal intervention, then aged for 24 months in barrel. This vintage shows floral aromatics, ripe citrus and orchard fruit, and a polished mineral backbone. The balanced freshness and defined structure reflect Bain’s biodynamic approach and his dedication to letting terroir and vintage shine.
