‘Auksinis’ = golden. 60 year old vines of Sauvignon Blanc from a 1 ha plot on clay-limestone soil. This is Sébastien’s maceration cuvée. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Auksinis cuvées have first undergone a week of maceration on its skins before similar fermentation and aging.
It is a bomb where the notes of ginger, bitter orange are added to the complexity of a rustic and authentic Sancerre. The result is an aromatic, deep, complex orange wine of impressive fruit purity !
