Arco is a 100% Savagnin of 20 year old vines planted in Nevy-sur-Seille on rocky soil with a base of limestone scree. It is these screes that allow a greater heating (the coarser rocks take and make more heat). The wines are ouillé and the aging lasts 18 months.

The name of the plot is La Chaux; we find this name for the cuvée from Chardonnay grown here. But for the Savagnin, the name Arco comes from … the donkey circulating between the vines during harvest! The terrain is difficult and to save themselves a job too painful with heavy boxes of grapes, since 2015 they have worked with two donkeys (Arco and Hugo) who take care of the transport of grapes during the harvest.
