Jean-Pascal Sarnin and Jean-Marie Berrux are passionate advocates for sustainable development and environmental respect. Since 2007, they have been producing natural, organic wines in Monthélie, a village nestled in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. Their approach involves sourcing grapes exclusively from winemakers practicing organic or biodynamic farming. Emphasizing minimal intervention, they vinify their wines traditionally, without added oenological products, except for a slight sulfur addition before bottling. Their use of modern equipment, such as pneumatic presses, ensures gentle handling of the harvest, preserving the integrity of the fruit. Vinification occurs without inputs like sulfur, yeasts, or enzymes, and aging takes place on lees until a single racking before gravity bottling. This methodology results in wines that are natural, alive, and expressive of their terroir.

Sarnin-Berrux produces a diverse range of wines, including reds, whites, and rosés, sourced from various Burgundy appellations such as Savigny-lès-Beaune, Volnay, and Chablis. Each wine is crafted to showcase the unique personality of its origin, expressing a purity and vibrancy that captivates the senses. Their Savigny-lès-Beaune is ethereal yet structured, revealing layers of delicate red fruit, subtle spice, and stony minerality. The Beaujolais “Le Bojo Sutra” bursts with lively Gamay flavors, a testament to the vitality of the vineyard. The Saint-Romain Pinot Noir, sourced from 40-year-old vines, is velvety and refined, its elegant aromas unfolding gracefully with each sip. All wines are aged in French oak barrels and bottled with minimal sulfur, preserving their natural charm. Sarnin and Berrux’s dedication results in wines that are not only true reflections of the land but also living, breathing expressions of authenticity, beauty, and craftsmanship.
