Domaine de l’Octavin was established in 2005 by Alice Bouvot and Charles Dagand in the Jura region, with Alice taking full ownership in 2015. The estate cultivates a rich palette of grape varieties including Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir, planted in some of Jura’s most esteemed lieux-dits such as En Curon, La Mailloche, Les Nouvelles, and Les Corvées. Alice employs biodynamic farming practices, certified by Demeter, fostering biodiversity and soil health, while practicing minimal intervention so that each wine expresses the terroir in its purest form. Before dedicating herself fully to winemaking, Alice pursued a professional career as a cellist, performing across Europe. This musical journey refined her sensitivity to harmony, rhythm, and nuance, qualities she now translates into the balance, structure, and finesse of her wines. This combination of musical artistry and viticultural precision has helped Domaine de l’Octavin become a reference point in Jura’s natural wine scene.
